About Us

Otter Creek Brittanys was started in 2011 with a little dog known as “Little Girl”. Little Girl was quite famous in these parts as she worked on a hunting preserve and competed in local field trials…and she was very good!!

Little Girl was 6 years old when we met her at the local preserve and it was love at first sight. We purchased Little Girl in 2010 and she had a litter of pups in 2011. The very first pup we placed from that litter is now a 9-time NSTRA Champion and 2-time NSTRA National Champion. TJ’S MICRO-TEQUILA WATSON is owned by Sharron Watson and Sam & Clayton Ashmore of Florida. Among many awards he has received, “Watson” is the 2014 NSTRA Trial of Champions champion, the 2015 NSTRA Dog of the Year champion and the 2016 AKC American Brittany NSTRA Dog of the Year.

Prior to moving to Arkansas in 2008, we had each been in the cutting horse industry and lived in Texas. We met in 2006 and later married in 2007. We moved to Arkansas to retire and fish only to learn we had great bird hunting preserves in the area…and great bird dogs! The Brittany stood out to us and before long we had four! We began bird hunting and competing in NSTRA field trials and are now very competitive and successful.

We also had business careers…Roger retired from Chrysler and Deb served many years at Deere & Co. and Walmart Marketing. Roger has 4 grown children, 5 grandchildren and a great grandchild. We live in the Ozarks and can’t imagine being anywhere else.

God took hold of us in 2004 and 2006 and we are now dedicated to Kingdom work in our local community.

We believe in “placing” dogs not “selling” dogs. We match our dogs with prospective owners depending on their intentions for the pup (hunting, companion, competition) and environment (kennel dog, house dog, etc.) through phone and email interviews.
